TempStay® is Houston based and provides all-inclusive furnished apartments in and near the Texas Medical Center area, since 2002.
Today, TempStay® offers the largest inventory and widest selection of furnished apartments, offering shuttle and train service to the Texas Medical Center.
TempStay® understands the contribution a spacious, clean, comfortable, fully equipped, and well-appointed furnished apartment has to a patientís treatment and recovery.
Will I have a flexible departure date?
All of our residents have a flexible departure. We request a 10 day notice to vacate but even if on the day of departure the current resident needs to extend the resident would not be displaced never being required to leave.
What if I'm not pleased with my apartment?
If there is a deficiency with your apartment and the deficiency cannot be resolved to your satisfaction you have no obligation to stay and a full refund of any unused rent will be refunded.
What if my treatment is interrupted?
A full refund of any unused rent will be returned.
Are the apartments clean?
We steam clean both carpet and upholstered furniture between every resident, strip and wax all vinyl floors, replace return air filters and duct work is cleaned as needed.
Do other furnished apartment providers in the Texas Medical Center offer similar guarantees?
You will have to ask:
*Do you offer assurances we will never be forced to vacate even after a notice is given?
*Do you offer a Satisfaction Guarantee with full refund of all unused rent paid?
*If treatment is interrupted do you offer a full refund of all unused rent paid?
*Are carpet and upholstery steam cleaned between every resident?
What is the bed configuration?
*One bedroom apartments are equipped with a king bed in the master and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
*Two bedrooms are equipped with king in the master and either a king, queen or twins in the second bedroom.
*A limited number of two bedrooms offer a king bed in the master, queen and a twin bed in the second bedroom, offering added flexibility.
*Two bedrooms with a loft offers a king in the master, queen and twin in the second bedroom and two twins in the loft.
*We offer three bedroom apartments with various bed configurations.
*All king and queen beds have memory foam bedding and 300 to 400 thread count sheets.
Will I be able to prepare meals?
Fully equipped kitchens allow patients and their caregivers to continue eating meals like they normally would at home. This eliminates "room service" charges and the continued cost of eating restaurant meals.
Will I and my caregivers be able to continue to work?
Patients and caregivers can set up a "home office" with high speed internet, work station(s), access to copy, scanner, fax machines, postal box and package receiving. Apartment living offers privacy, comfort and convenience.
Is there transportation to the hospitals and grocery stores?
Yes, shuttle service is offered from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Light rail is also convenient with access to the Texas Medical Center, Rice University, museums, zoo, parks, golf course and Downtown Houston. Several TempStay® properties offer service grocery stores.
Do I have to pay for utilities? No, all utilities are covered by TempStay®. We do, however, put a generous cap on how much utilities we will cover. This is almost never exceeded and is just used to keep use within reason.
Do you require a security deposit?
Generally, we are willing to waive security deposits with a valid credit card on file and a signed Damage Waiver that accepts responsibility for any damages, which might have occurred during your stay.
Do you accept pets?
We work to accommodate pets, but limit the number of pets to two per apartment - there are weight and breed restrictions. All pets must be neutered or spayed. Cats must be de-clawed. A "Pet Fee" and an additional "cleaning fee" are required.
What is the payment procedure?
You have many options. TempStay® accepts personal and business checks, bank wire transfers, and cash, American Express, Visa and MasterCard. If you are a corporate client, direct billing is available.
Is housekeeping available?
TempStay® has bonded cleaning services available to you. We can arrange weekly, bi-monthly, or on-demand cleaning. Residents are responsible for laundering of personal items.
What are your rental rates?
Rental rates depends on length of stay, location, square feet, number of bedrooms and baths. Rental rate includes all taxes.
Will I have a "Land Line" telephone with Voice Mail? YES, all of our apartments are equipped with traditional "Land Lines". Hospitals and Doctors stress the importance of a Land Line telephone to speak with patients or leaving messages. Many buildings and apartment properties do not receive signals for cell phones. Cell phones may also lose battery power, making it impossible to reach the patient. Insist your accommodations have Land Lines with Voice Mail.
Could you help orient me to the city?
TempStay® provides an informational guidebook in every apartment with pertinent information about the apartment, the property, and the City of Houston (sites to see, restaurants, etc.).
A 30-day minimum stay is required. All rates include a fully-furnished apartment, non-smoking, garage or assigned covered parking, furniture, two color TVs with expanded cable and DVD, wireless internet - dedicated & secure network in each apartment, housewares package (for kitchen, bed and bath), "memory foam bedding" in all master bedrooms, microwave, washer/dryer, electricity and water service, local land line phone service with voice mail and accessories (plants, pictures and accent pieces).
